Dxpeditioners take note, there’s a new club to help you out: the “QRO CLUB”. Supported by W1YW and the Fractal Amateur Radio Club (W1FRX), the QRO CLUB has one objective--to keep DX on the bands active.

The South Sandwich Islands are a cold and inhospitable place. At 59 degrees south, Southern Thule Island is one of the most remote places on Earth.

Expeditions signed a contract with Nigel Jolly, owner and operator of the Braveheart (above), for the expedition to Heard Island, and moved the project schedule to March-April, 2016.

We are pleased to announce that the Government of South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands has issued our Dxpedition call signs. We will use VP8STI from South Thule Island (South Sandwich). We will use VP8SGI from South Georgia Island.

The K1N DXpedition team has only been home a few days, but we are slowly recovering from what was a difficult project. It was over too soon considering that it took 15 years to gain permission, plan and execute the DXpedition.

The SEISA/Foundation for Global Children is pleased to announce our next activity as “Eritrea Project 2015”. As part of this project, we will conduct an Amateur Radio DXpedition from Asmara Eritrea, from March 6th to 17th, 2015.

It's official, we received the license and call sign: TX3X from the licensing authority in Noumea, New Caledonia.

Are you as excited as I am, being able to work K1N Navassa, the #2 Most Wanted Entity? What a thrill, and what a fine job the operators are doing under such difficult conditions!
