CQ WW DX CW Contest 2010 Part 1

CQ WW CW 2010 is finished. The first results are started to arrive. Many of them just can not be left without comments.

First of all, I’d like to emphasize P33W result.
The MS team consisted of RA2FA, UA2FZ, RW4WR, RV1AW, & RA3AUU was able to make over 9000 QSO with excellent mults number, and claimed new World and Asia records !!!!
Besides that, P33W managed to win against D4C team, and D4C managed to do impossible thing – they lost against the Asia team :-)

No wonders, - operators skill may overlap any geographical advantages.

To say the true, I was surprised with EF8M score in SOAB entry.
I bet before the contest , EF8M will hit the world record, and I was sure in that, because the past UDXC proved that the station potential had grew up.
Nobody wanted to bet after I showed RD3A result from Moscow

Total: 4057 169 558 Total Score = 5,000,306

That was from Moscow, without 10m conditions!!!!!
It seemed to me, the result from EA8 had to be much higher.
I thought, the only problem might be QSO number.
Everybody pointed at 6500 QSO in the year before, and I would find difficulty to quarrel with this.
Morse Runner is not a style to score many QSO number.
Whatever, the result is surprising for me.

By the way, I have no clue, where folks found 6500 QSO? I believe, 7000 QSO was claimed the last year.
The result is so much unexpected that I won’t surprise if it was a mistake, and the final score would be a few million points more :-)
If the result will remain the same it was claimed, ‘Pepsi Generation' has chance to win CQ WW this year. But let’s wait for his result in this year.
Though, he rats his generation, and perhaps will claim Unassisted again.

Well, if we would believe this claimed score, it’s a wonder: either Willy UA9BA lubricated his antennae with wizard ‘mult-attractive’ grease, or the second crew of RZ3AXX knows the secret, and leave the host of the station unaware?
If we compare WW CW 2010 result above with result of RA3AKT (operated RZ3AXX) below:

Let’s suppose for a moment that RA3AKT spent more time for search, but for those who is sure in this, I prepared one more example.
Now, vice versa:

Look, even M2 from EA8 could not score UA8AA multiplier in some bands. That is, either grease, or secret; take it or leave it :-)

Although, nobody argued with me, I throw up my cards :-)
Yury VE3DZ claimed excellent score from Suriname. He made 6700 QSO with quite simple setup.

Wonderful score is claimed by RA9CKQ who operated 3V3A from Tunisia this year.
Perhaps, this score may be commented later in more details.

And of course, I’d like to appreciate beautiful scores of 4L8A SOSB 40m and EY8MM SOSB 160m.
To be continued,
